Nicole and Mario so clearly had the theme and style for their wedding mapped out that this consultation was a breeze! They wanted an invitation that had a truly organic feel to match the beautiful venue that they had selected in the Sierra Nevada foothills on the property of a 1850’s Victorian home at Brookshire Gardens. They were going to be married in the gardens and had wanted to include natural design elements.
I knew right off the bat that they would have to use recycled paper invitations to get both the texture and true “green” component to their design. Nicole also knew that she wanted brown kraft envelopes instead of the usual cream. After looking at a few other designs, Nicole and Mario found this invitation. The two of them actually looked at each other and agreed that it was the one. While they hadn’t planned to use hydrangeas as part of their design it had a special meaning just for them.
To dress them up just a bit, we finished off the invitations with a length of Linen Thread tied in a delicate bow. I love the way this invitation came together so beautifully for them and can’t wait to see photos from the wedding!
